There are a few things happening for youth to get involved with at the Jefferson Public Library.
Toddler Story Time is starting back up again on Wednesdays from 10-11:30am in the Children’s Department. Each Wednesday, from January 25th through March 22nd, parents and guardians are invited to bring their newborns through toddler age to listen to stories, while also participating in songs and crafts. No registration is necessary for this free program.
The Children’s Department is also kicking off the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. This is for any newborn children through pre-kindergarten with a goal of reading 1,000 books before they enter kindergarten. Stop into the Children’s Department to sign up and receive reading sheets to keep track of the books that are read and you will also earn prizes along the way. You can read the same book or different books for a total of 1,000.
Contact the Children’s Department at 515-386-4415 or stop in to learn more about either program.
