Last weekend was the district competition for the Iowa High School Speech Association Large Group.

Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center, Panorama and West Central Valley all sent teams to Creston for the district competition and several advanced to the state level after receiving Division I-ratings.

AC/GC received nine I-ratings and will be sending three group improv teams, a radio news team, a readers theater team, two group mime teams, and two musical theater teams to the state competition.

Panorama received five I-ratings and will be sending a reader’s theater team, three ensemble acting teams and a musical theater team to the state contest.

West Central Valley sent two group improv teams, and received a I-rating for both.

These teams will travel to Waukee High School for state on February 4th. A list of all the students and which category(s) they competed in for all three schools can be found below.
