The Dallas County Conservation Board will test people’s tracking skills with an upcoming event.

DCCB Outreach Coordinator Sarach Gilchrist says that they will host an event called “The Animal Sign Hike,” with their Naturalist Erica “Bearica” from 10 to 11am at Voas Nature Area in Minburn on Saturday. Gilchrist explains Bearica will take people hiking to look at critters.

“Just kind of educate people on what to look for. And so you can see little signs that you might not have noticed otherwise and what that means and what animals have been out and about. And she’s just really knowledgeable about those kinds of things and really connects well with the kids and the kids at heart.”

Registration is encouraged to be notified if a weather cancellation does occur. There will also be another Animal Sign Hike from 10 to 11am on February 10th also at Voas Nature Area.
