Last week United States Senator Joni Ernst stopped in Guthrie County as part of her 99-County Tour.

The Guthrie Center and Panora Chambers of Commerce both had members in attendance for the meeting. Ernst heard from several of the small business owners on some issues, and answered many questions. A big reason as to why she met with the two Chambers, was because she will once again be on the U.S. Senate Small Business Committee. Ernst tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she’s excited to continue working on this committee.

“I have served on the Small Business Committee now for a number of years, and I have built up enough seniority on that committee that I will be the ranking member, the lead Republican on the Small Business Committee in the United States Senate. So I’m really excited about the work I’ll be able to do and hopefully see Iowans benefit from that position.”

Ernst was very forthcoming with any information she had, and any solutions that she knew were being worked on for questions that individuals had for her.
