Friday, January 20th
1:28am: An Officer had a vehicle towed from the 200 block of S. Wilson St. for being in violation of city ordinance.
10:23am: An Officer was advised of an injured cat in the 300 block of N. Chestnut St. The Officer did not locate the cat.
2:35pm: An Officer requested an arrest warrant for Ryan Brown, of Jefferson, for “Driving While Suspended”. The Officer had previously seen Brown operating a vehicle within the City Of Jefferson, and later learned his drivers license was suspended.
5:56pm: An Officer was advised of a dog running at large in the 400 block of N. Oak St. The Officer could not catch the dog.
5:47pm: An Officer was advised of possible suspicious activity in the 100 block of W. Vest St. The Officer checked the area and found nothing out of the ordinary.
6:06pm: An Officer spoke to juveniles, who were playing in the street, near Oak St. and Harrison St. The Officer asked them to find a safer place to play.
7:51pm: An Officer was advised of a possible disabled vehicle in the 1700 block of N. Elm St. The Officer did not locate the vehicle.
Saturday, January 21st
12:25am: An Officer was advised of a possible incident that had taken place at 777 Wild Rose Ln. It was later determined that a theft had not occurred.
12:31am: An Officer was advised of a residential alarm activation in the 700 block of W. Harrison St. The Officer determined that the alarm was false.
5:40pm: An Officer was advised of dogs running at large in the 700 block of W. Harrison St. When the officer arrived, the dogs were inside a residence. The Officer spoke to the owner about the situation and asked that the problem be resolved.
6:40pm: An Officer assisted a Greene County Deputy in attempting to locate a possible intoxicated driver on Hwy. 4, north of Jefferson. The vehicle was not located in Greene County. It was later learned that the vehicle was found in Webster County, and the driver had been arrested.
6:41pm: An Officer was advised of a possible intoxicated driver traveling toward Jefferson on Hwy. 30. The Officer located the vehicle and observed it for several miles. No infractions or signs of impaired driving were seen.
6:56pm: A traffic stop in the 100 block of E. Washington St. resulted in Lazaro Salazar, of Jefferson, being issued citations for “Violation – Financial Liability Coverage” and “Fail to Have Valid License”.
Sunday, January 22nd
1:46am: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical call in the 700 Block of Wild Rose Drive.
7:13am: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 600 Block of West Lincoln Way Street for, “Parking Across Sidewalk.”
8:53am: A Traffic Stop at Harrison and Wilson resulted in Emily Fisher of Jefferson being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”
2:32pm: A Traffic Stop near Grimmell and Wall Streets resulted in Cody Husar of Churdan being cited for, “Operation without Registration and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”
3:57pm: A Traffic Stop near 220th and Orchard Ave. resulted in Joshua Mac Kruthoff of Carroll being cited for, “Excessive Speed.
4:11pm: An officer removed a piece of debris from the roadway in the 700 Block of North Cedar Street.
7:17pm: Eric Chrystal reported the Theft of one gallon of gas from 705 West Sunset Road. The officer is investigating.
9:07pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop with a Speeding Vehicle in the 500 Block of North Elm Street. During the stop, the officer could smell the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. When advised of a Probable Cause Search, the driver handed the officer a bag of suspected marijuana. Presley Bruce Johnson of SD. was cited for, “Fail to Carry Registration Card and Excessive Speed. Charges are pending lab results on the seized item.
