A popular winter youth program is coming back later this month.

The Mini Cheer Camp is for pre-kindergarten through fifth graders with two practice days on January 24th and 26th at the Greene County Community Center from 4:30-5:30pm. The two-day camp will teach participants basketball and wrestling cheers, along with jumps and beginner stunts. Then, the kids will get to perform a routine at halftime of the home Greene County High School girls basketball game on January 27th.

The program will be led by the high school cheerleading coach Shannon Black and some of the high school cheerleaders. The cost to participate is $10 for community center members and $15 for non-members. Contact the community center at 515-386-3412 or stop by to sign up by January 23rd.
