It’s more than 90 miles to Monroe from Jefferson and PCM High School is where Greene County plays Heart of Iowa Activities Conference basketball tonight. The games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com with coverage starting at 5:45 p.m., the girls playing at 6 o’clock, and the boys to follow.
Greene County’s girls are 0-14 overall and 0-9 in the conference while the Mustangs are 7-9 and 4-5. PCM won the first meeting in Jefferson.
The Rams are 6-8 in boys’ basketball and 5-4 in conference play. PCM is 4-11 and 3-6 and one of those wins is against the Rams, when second leading scorer and top rebounder Jesse Miller didn’t play due to illness. Reserve Trey Schilling was also ill and did not play.
After tonight, the Rams have a week off before hosting West Marshall (State Center) in Jefferson on Jan. 27.
