Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District is excited to get their second semester underway.
Superintendent Greg Dufoe says that their first semester ended on January 13th and they started their second semester this past Tuesday. Dufoe says that his message towards teachers and staff is to make each day count especially in winter before the spring schedule starts. He points out a specific goal that they would like to achieve in the second semester.
“Well, we have our wildly important goal around literacy, so we will be paying close attention to that as we close out the school year. So we have again, we have a very aggressive goal to reduce the percentage of students who are not proficient on reading assessments. And so we’ll be looking forward to seeing that data as the year closes out.”
The ADM School District will take another break for spring break from March 11-17th and then the school year will conclude on May 26th.
