A reminder that when snow is in our local areas of Adel and Perry there will be snow ordinances that go into effect. 

For Perry residents, no vehicles should be parked on any public street, alley or City-owned off-street parking area when there is at least one-half inch of accumulated snow until the snow has been removed and the streets are fully open and snow has stopped falling. 

For Adel residents, the snow ordinance/snow parking-ban goes into effect at the beginning of the snow event and continues for a period of 24-hours after the snowfall has ceased. If a vehicle is not moved during the snow parking-ban it can be towed at the owner’s expense and could incur a $25 violation penalty.
