The Dallas Center-Grimes boys wrestling is getting closer to the end of the season and they competed well in their last two meets.
On Thursday, the Mustangs wrestling team took on Oskaloosa and with the help of seven falls, four forfeits and one decision led them to victory, 69 to 12.
Moving to the weekend on Saturday, DCG traveled to Adel for the ADM Tiger Invite and came out on top. The Mustangs finished in first place with a team score of 236 points. It started with Ayden Beck placing first in the 113 pound division. Then Logan Gard also finished first in the 132 pound division and the winning continued with Cole Hemmingsen grabbing first in the 138 pound division and Luke Benson won the 145 pound division. DCG wasn’t done just yet at the ADM Tiger Invite with Jacob Fistler placing first in the 170 pound division and Ben Brushaber would round things out with a first place finish in the 182 pound division.
Dallas Center-Grimes wrestling will continue with a match against Pella on Thursday.
