The Adel Chamber of Commerce, alongside Mayor Jim Peters, cut the ribbon for a new business on Friday that provides specialty coffee and baked-from-scratch pastries in a timely manner. 

The ceremony celebrated the grand opening for Scooter’s Coffee in Adel on Greene Street. The drive-thru location is owned and operated by Chuck and Julie Gross. Chuck was excited to get things started in Adel.

“It was a no brainer. I mean, Adel is growing so fast and it’s such a small town feel. But yeah, we’re really excited. We think this is going to be a fantastic location.”

There was also another grand opening for Scooter’s Coffee in Perry as well on Friday. Both businesses offered half price drinks with the purchase made on their smartphone app.
