A state department awarded grants to leverage local infrastructure projects and programs that create vibrant communities across Iowa, which included Perry.
Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs invested $1.5 million into projects that connect Iowans to art, culture, and heritage programming and generate vibrant places to work, live and raise a family. Perry Economic Development received a grant of $2,500 which is intended to jumpstart their permanent mural project on the western edge of downtown Perry showcasing the community’s historic and cultural assets.
