The Greene County Historical Society is kicking off a new year with its first program.
This Sunday there will be a free program about the history of immigration in Greene County. Chuck Offenburger is the presenter who will share what impacts immigrants have had on the county and how immigrants continue to come to the United States because of the nation’s promise and freedoms. He will also talk about how Greene County is looking to immigrants once again to help with economic growth and redevelopment. Offenburger encourages attendees to come with questions and their own stories to share.
Sunday’s program will be at 2pm at the historical museum. In case of inclement weather, the program will be moved to the following Sunday at the same time and location.
