A non-profit organization in Jefferson is requesting donations for the year.

Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community is currently underway with its contribution drive. Board President Jamie Daubendiek talks about how the funds that are raised are used.

“It goes to a lot of different projects and that’s the big thing is we need the organization up and running to have these projects happen. So some of it goes to administrative, but then a lot of it goes to the team budgets and that’s kind of what we’re working through right now. But everytime I’m amazed at all the great things that all these different committees are working on and are passionate about, and trying to bring the community to make it a better place each and everyday.”

Daubendiek says monetary donations are accepted all year round and can be done in a variety of ways. Donations can be dropped off or mailed to the Welcome Center at 201 East Lincoln Way, along with an automatic debt payment, or pay online through the website at jeffersonmatters.org, or having Jefferson Matters a beneficiary as part of an estate.
