The Perry Jayette basketball team will look for their second straight win tonight when they host Grandview Christian in a 6:00 non-conference game inside the Perry Sports Pavilion. Perry snapped a seven game losing skid Tuesday night, defeating Nevada 44-32. Perry forced over 20 Cub turnovers on the night.
“I thought we finally put together a four quarter game, especially on the defensive end,” stated head coach Claire Marburger. “We have showed glimpses of real intense defense for a quarter or two, but never a full four quarter stretch like we played against Nevada.”
Kathryn West led the charge defensively finishing the night with a season high 8 steals. Perry forced 22 Nevada turnovers. “I thought Kathryn was awesome tonight. She can be a really good defensive player for us and that is the type of energy we will need from her the rest of the season.”
