The Guthrie County Supervisors met Thursday.
Board Chair Brian Johnson said that after some discussion on the confirmation calendar, the Board tabled a decision on representatives for townships, as they’d like to try and bring forth a more gender-balanced front with appointed and elected offices. He adds that all other positions under the confirmation calendar were approved, staying the same as they were previously.
Johnson told Raccoon Valley Radio that Mike Dickson and JD Kuster gave an update on the EMS Advisory Council to the new Supervisors, and that it seems Dickson has names for all seats on the council, and is working on setting up a meeting to get all the members together so they can get started.
Johnson mentioned that a task force was put together to see if there is a way to rearrange the Board of Supervisors meeting room so that it makes it easier for an audience to hear the Board, or anyone giving an update to the Board. He said that Guthrie County Auditor Dani Fink, Facilities Manager Brandon Thompson, and Information Technology Director Brian Hoffman make up the task force.
The meeting finished with a closed session that updated the new members on the Law Enforcement Center Project.
