A Sioux City man was arrested by Stuart Police following an alleged incident on December 28th.
According to court documents, a Stuart Police Officer initiated a traffic stop of an SUV that was pulling a trailer heading onto Interstate-80. The registered owner of the vehicle had an active warrant. During the stop, the officer discovered the trailer was stolen from Polk County with an estimated worth of over $10,000.
When the officer asked the driver for his license, the driver said he lost his ID and provided what turned out to be a false name. A Dallas County Deputy was requested to assist and when they searched the driver, his ID was found in his wallet, identifying him as 48-year-old Justin Brock.
Brock was arrested and charged a Class C Felony for first-degree theft, simple misdemeanors for providing false identification information and no valid drivers license. Brock was booked into the Adair County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
