The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday.

The Board started the meeting by appointing Supervisor Kim Chapman as Board Chairman for the year. Then the Board approved the renewal of their Iowa Communities Assurance Pool (ICAP) insurance for 2023. Then the Board conducted its organizational meeting by renewing board committee assignments,  designating official depositories and newspapers along with 28 eminent domain property owners, and appointing Jerri Adkins to the Dexter Library Board. They also appointed Josie Morin and Beth Deardorff to the magistrates commission and Al Miller to the Cirtpa Technical Committee, Murray McConnell to the MPO Technical Committee and they approved the treasurer’s office appointments Heather Smith, Summer Portzen and Nancy Hagelberg. 

The Board also approved the construction evaluation which is part of the Iowa code which makes the Supervisors evaluate every construction permit application.
