Greene County fell t0 3-6 on the season after losing to 5-0 Webster City in Jefferson on Monday night in Jefferson by a 70-41 final in boys’ non-conference basketball. The Lynx had five players score from eight to 19 points, led by senior Jamie Grossheme with 19, 15 in the second half. The Rams had 17 points from junior Brynley Ruzicka with 17 points, all in the second half. He made five shots from three-point range and was two for two on foul shots.
The Rams trailed 23-12 at the half and 48-29 at the end of the third quarter. Greene County made just four first half field goals and went 14-47 from the field and seven of 13 from the free throw line. The Lynx were 27 of 57 from the floor and eight of 14 shooting free throws. The Rams had 14 turnovers to 10 for the Lynx.
