A two vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Jefferson results in one injury and a citation.

According to the Jefferson Police Department, officers, the Jefferson Fire Department, Greene County Ambulance and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident at 3:55pm at the intersection of Highway 30 and Mulberry Street. The report shows a 2009 Mitsubishi Galant, driven by Anaiah Twillie of Jefferson, was heading west on the highway when a 2020 Ford Explorer, driven by James Eischeid of Jefferson, crossed the highway heading south on Mulberry Street without yielding to the Mitsubishi Galant. 

The police report shows the vehicles collided at the intersection. Eischeid was taken to Greene County Medical Center by Greene County EMS with suspected minor injuries and Twillie was uninjured. Damage to the Explorer was $15,000 and $10,000 in damages was done to the Galant. Eischeid was issued a citation for failure to yield upon entering through highway.
