The team that wins the most road games will likely have the best chance to grab the Little Hawkeye Conference and both boy and girl Dallas Center-Grimes will have that opportunity tonight.

After a long winter break, the Dallas Center-Grimes Lady Mustangs will touch the floor in Norwalk taking on the Warriors. Norwalk (2-5) will be hungry for their third win and first at home win this season. They are lead by their Sophomore guard Bailey Birmingham who is averaging 19 points per game and she is coming off a game where she scored 23 points and eight rebounds. DCG will look to slow Birmingham down with Aubrey Johansen who is a very good defender with 22 steals this year. The Lady Mustangs will look for their fourth conference win and eighth victory on the season, tip off is at 6:15 in the Norwalk Gymnasium.

Following the girls basketball game, the boys will take the court with the Mustangs searching for their fourth win in a row while they have to fight off a Norwalk Warriors team that hasn’t won a conference game this season. Mustangs will need to stop Junior guard Redek Born who has been a huge supporter for the Warriors averaging 18 points and five rebounds. He is also coming off a double-double against Des Moines Lincoln. No one has been bigger for DCG than Jonathan Howard who is averaging 14 points and was scorching hot against Johnston hitting 3 three points and 5/8 from the field for a total 18 points.

You can listen to the game live from Norwalk on KDLS-2 on Raccoon Valley Radio with pregame coverage staring around 5:45pm.
