A reminder that tonight and tomorrow a non-profit organization in Jefferson is continuing this year’s dinner and a show.

History Boy Theatre Company is celebrating its 10th anniversary of one of its first performances with “Five Course Love!” It is a musical comedy written by Gregg Coffin that is about love set in five different restaurants with six actors playing 15 characters. Prior to the show will be a meal with a variety of food, including smoked chicken legs, barbecue beans, caesar salad, chips and salsa, sauerkraut and sausage and chocolate malts. Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community Executive Director Matt Wetrich talks about the atmosphere that people can experience during the meal.

“Up above they’ve got kind of a second story, places to eat, which are, if you haven’t been in there before, they’ve got these sort of rooms situated from different performances of the past. So they reuse some of their sets. So you sit in these different kind of dining areas upstairs, and then you eat, and then you move down to the theater area.”

Tonight, the meal is at 6pm, followed by the performance at 7pm. Tomorrow is an afternoon matinee with the meal at 1pm and the show at 2pm. Next weekend will be the final performances on January 6th and 7th with the meal served at 6pm and the performance at 7pm. Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased online, at RVP~1875 or via email at historyboytheatrecompany@gmail.com. Click the link below to purchase tickets online.
