The Adair County ISU Extension is getting ready for a handful of events for the start of the new year.

The first few programs will be held online. On Wednesday at 5:30pm, the Extension Office will be part of a statewide webinar that teaches 4-H members in grades 9-12 how to write a Recognition Day cover letter. Then from January 9th and going through the 13th, there will be a webinar on becoming a certified Class Leader of the Powerful Tools for Caregivers program, which teaches individuals different ways to help others to take care of themselves, reduce stress and improve caregiver confidence to better take care of loved ones.

A follow up to the cover letter webinar will take place on January 10th, where the same 4-H members can learn best practices for writing a Recognition Day resume. On January 11th, the Extension Office invites everyone to a three-state beef conference that will be held in the Warren Cultural Center auditorium. The conference is an annual meeting hosted by Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska beef extension teams. This conference provides an annual update on current topics for beef cattle producers.
