U.S. Congresswoman Cindy Axne
U.S. Congresswoman Cindy Axne has introduced a large sum of money dished out to community projects in Iowa, which includes Perry.
Representative Axne, with the help of the recent government spending bill that was passed by the U.S. House, was able to announce $23 million of funding will go towards 15 community projects. A total of $1,919,082 will reconstruct roads, parking areas, water quality features, traffic signage, pedestrian sidewalks and the beautification of downtown Perry. Representative Axne submitted a request for funding for these community projects to the House Appropriations Committee in May of 2022. Each representative could request funding for up to 15 projects in their community for the current fiscal year, under guidance from the Appropriations Committee.
