Greene County ISU Extension and Outreach is offering a training course for anyone who handles manure.

The commercial manure applicator training will be held Thursday, January 5th from 9am-noon and 1-4pm at the Extension Office in Jefferson. The program provides three hours of training that meets certification requirements. This class is for those needing to recertify or certify for the first time. All current certified commercial manure applicator licenses will expire on March 1, 2023.  

The Thursday training is free for anyone to attend, however, for those individuals who can’t, you must schedule a time to watch the training videos and can be charged $10 to do so. 

Registration is required by January 3rd for January 5th’s training and no walk-ins will be allowed. Call the Extension Office in Jefferson at 515-386-2138 or stop by to sign up.
