Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers athletics in 2022 was able to find a very special year in multiple sports, and this week, we break down the accomplishments of various programs.
ADM boys and girls cross country were both able to qualify for the state meet in 2022 in Fort Dodge. The girls were able to come away with a 5th place finish out of fifteen teams, as they were able to end with a team score of 138. The boys were able to finish 12th with a team score of 264.
On the girls side, Geneva Timmerman was able to put up a strong performance with a 4th place finish of 18 minutes 40 seconds, and Haley James was able to grab a 12th place finish of 19 minutes 33 seconds. Hannah Desmarais, Paige Mattes, Gracelyn Martens-Sinn, Alaina Nelson, and Mackealin Sutton were the other runners on that roster.
The boys were led by Torin Timmerman, who was able to grab a 29th place finish with a time of 16 minutes 58 seconds. The rest of the roster included Harrison Desmarais, Hunter Landphair, Isaac Chapman, Keegan Holdmeyer, Hubie Chaplin, and Sam Peters.
Both teams got top three finishes in the state qualifier as the girls got first and the boys got third. During the regular season, both teams and individuals were able to win many races.
The girls will have a roster full of state experience back for next year, while the boys group will have some key returners on the team and a lot of exciting up and coming talent as well.
