Panora Mayor Pat Parker is excited for a new street project to get started in 2023.
Parker tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the city was able to secure a bid on doing some work on Jackson Street.
“The Jackson Street project will be going on in (2023), which will be taking care of some stormwater issues down in that part of town, and also at the same time updating some of our water lines in that area that have some lead based joints. So again, fixing some of our aging infrastructure and getting it more safe.”
The bid was approved by the City Council earlier this year , but not in time to get started. After completing the Clay Street project this year, Parker is glad to continue to improve the city.
