With the New Years holiday happening this week, several offices and businesses will be closed in Jefferson.

The Greene County Courthouse, Greene County ISU Extension Office, Jefferson City Hall and Jefferson Public Library will be closed on Monday in observance of the holiday. Library staff reminds patrons that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday. 

Garbage and recycling routes in Jefferson are delayed one day due to the holiday on Monday. That means, Monday’s routes will be done on Tuesday. Tuesday’s garbage will be picked up on Wednesday. Wednesday will be done on Thursday. Garbage routes will then go back to normal schedules the following week.
