Dallas County Conservation has an opportunity for people to take a break from the indoors and get in touch with nature.

“Fend Off Cabin Fever” will be a hike to explore nature and have fun in the winter conditions, led by Dallas County Conservation Naturalist Erica “Bearica.” The event will be from 10 to 11am on Thursday at Voas Nature Area in Minburn. Outreach Coordinator Sarah Gilchrist talks about the objective of the hike.

“Just kind of educate people on what to look for. And so you can see like, oh, little, little signs that you might not have noticed otherwise and what that means and what animals have been out and about. And (Erica Berica) just really knowledgeable about those kinds of things.

Gilchrist encourages attendees to wear warm clothing and register for their notification system in case the event is canceled.
