Jesse Miller

Greene County senior Jesse Miller has been named to the 2023 Shrine Bowl All-Star Football Game next July inside the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. The two-way end for the Rams, Miller signed a college letter of intent last week to play football for the U. of South Dakota. His older brother, Tyler, is the starting left tackle for the Iowa State Cyclones.

Caden Duncan is Greene County’s head coach and he nominated Miller for the honor. “Jesse was an easy person to nominate, obviously because of his on-field abilities, but he works really hard in the classroom, is a really smart kid, he’s in National Honor Society, puts in volunteer hours, and other things. He’s a good kid on and off the field and it’s an honor to play in that game, and I’ll look forward to watching him next July.”

The game pits graduated seniors from throughout Iowa on teams from the North and South with proceeds going to benefit Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals. The 2023 game is set for Saturday, July 22.
