The Dallas Center-Grimes Wrestling team found success at the Al Garrison Duals in Waukee last weekend. 

The Mustangs started the duals against Johnston, where Lane Nelsen,Brendan Smith and Logan Gard got falls but they still lost 27 to 46. The Mustangs backed up a loss with a close win over Waukee Northwest 39 to 30 along with victories over Waukee 37 to 32, Millard West 42 to 32 and North Polk 62 to 17. 

Jacob Fistler, in the 170 pound division, has become a highlight of the first part of the season with 16 wins with 12 falls and two technical falls and an underclassmen that’s been a surprise is Freshman Brayden Crosser with 14 wins, in the 126 pound division, with seven falls. The next DCG wrestling meet will be on January 7th at the 2023 Jerry Eckenrod Invitational.
