After having the previous director retire at the beginning of the year, Main Street Guthrie Center brought on a new director in November.

Main Street Guthrie Center is an organization that helps the community and businesses along the main street in Guthrie Center, and holds different events throughout the year. New Main Street Guthrie Center Director Lindsay Gilland says she was excited to get the position.

“The fact that the board members and the community as a whole actually have just welcomed our entire family with open arms. They’re very supportive in ideas and suggestions. And we, I feel like, are a really great board, working together and kind of throwing ideas out at each other and bouncing ideas off of each other, and just everyone is very open, and kind, and I really have appreciated joining and being a part of the board.”

Gilland tells Raccoon Valley Radio she’s looking forward to what she can do to help in the future.
