The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

The Board heard updates from Guthrie County Veteran Affairs and General Relief Administrator Beth Watson, as well as State Street Insurance Owner Becky Benton on insurance for cyber coverage, annual renewal of the county’s insurance policy and worker’s compensation. After hearing the information brought forth by Benton, the Board approved to renew the County’s insurance policies.

The Board also canvassed the December 13th Rural Improvement Zone Elections for Lake Panorama and Diamondhead Lake, and the Jamaica City special election for mayor and City Council seats, and heard an update on the Law Enforcement Center Project from Board Chair Mike Dickson. Dickson said that he and Guthrie County Sheriff Marty Arganbright are waiting to hear back from the jail inspector on some things, but that they recently found out that the lights in the elevator shaft weren’t bright enough.
