DCG Basketball Splits Doubleheader Against Johnston Tuesday

The Dallas County-Grimes basketball splits a doubleheader against Johnston Tuesday night.

The afternoon would start with the Lady Mustangs taking on the undefeated Dragons. DCG would have a nice start in this game as they were leading at half 24 to 23 but the second half would take a turn for the worst as they would be outscored 35 to 27 and the final score would read 58 to 51. Emma Minor led DCG in scoring with 25 points and Finley Fitzgerald added 9. The Lady Mustangs fall to (8-2) on the season.

DCG boys basketball got off to a great start to their game against Johnston with a 21 to 8 run and carry a 13 point lead into halftime. And Hudson Ehlert’s 10 second half points would help DCG win a close one, 62 to 59. They improve to (5-1) on the season. Both DCG teams will head to winter break and will take on Norwalk on the road on January 3rd in 2023 that game with be aired on Raccoon Valley Radio.
