Funeral services for Bernard Gundel, 91, of Fontanelle, will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle, Iowa, at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon immediately following the service.  Pastor Steven Broers will officiate the service.  Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery in Merrill, Iowa, with full military rites at a later date.  The Lamb Funeral Home in Fontanelle is in charge of the professional arrangements.  Online condolences may be left to the family at to be www.lambfuneralhomes.com.

 Family Visitation:  The family will greet friends on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Survivors:   He is survived by his wife Myrna Erb-Gundel of Fontanelle; five children, Connie Mueller of LeMars, Iowa, Teresa Schillmoeller (Steve) of Remsen, Iowa, Rhonda Erb of Greenfield, Brian Erb of Manilla, Iowa and Kevin Erb of Manning, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
