Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers wrestling competed in the Glenwood Invite on Saturday with seven different wrestlers competing in the event, and the Tigers were able to find a nice day with a winner as well as two other wrestlers able to finish with a third place finish.
At 126, Grayson Sutter was able to find a strong day, getting first place after winning three different matches and finding three falls in the process. He was able to defeat the top seed in the tournament as he executed his game plan well, and made a statement through it all.
Two different wrestlers were able to grab multiple wins and third place finishes, with Ben Smith at 152, and Sam Mallory grabbing 3rd at the 113 pound class. Smith was able to grab a couple of falls and also pick up his 100th victory in the process. Mallory went 3-1 on the day and grabbed three falls in an efficient effort.
Kaedon Campbell at 132 and Kadin O’Connor at 160 were both able to grab 5th place finishes in the tournament.
The Tigers will have one more meet before the 2022 portion of their schedule is complete when they compete against Council Bluffs – Abraham Lincoln and Des Moines East.
