Dec. 15

A minor driver was traveling in the 15000 block of Hwy 141, when the driver lost control due to weather conditions and crossed the median, striking a vehicle driven by Zachary Cole, Woodward.  All occupants of both vehicles were checked out by EMS and refused any further treatment.  Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Hi Tow.  Damage to the minor’s vehicle was estimated at $7000.  Damage to Mr. Cole’s vehicle was estimated at $16000.  The minor driver was issued a citation for Failure To Maintain Control.

Amy Wheeldon, Casey, was attempting to enter I80 at mile marker 113, when she lost control due to the weather and rolled her vehicle into the ditch.  She was checked by EMS at the scene, but refused any further treatment.  Damage to her vehicle was estimated at $10000.

Jamie Van Syoc, Adel, was driving on R Ave at Puckerbush road, when she hit a deer.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $3000.  The vehicle was driven from the scene.

Selam Gebreselassie, Grimes, was driving on Hwy 141 at the Woodward exit, when she began to lose control of the vehicle on slick the slick roadway.  Mario Cruz, Perry was also driving in this area and tried to avoid a collision, but lost control and the vehicles collided.  No injuries were reported and damage to Ms. Gebreselassie’s vehicle was estimated at $4000.  Damage to Mr. Cruz’s vehicle was estimated at $3000.  Mr. Cruz was able to drive the car away.  Ms. Gebreselassie’s vehicle remained there due to a tow ban.

Dec. 17

Eric Michelberger, age 45, 31625 R Ave, Adel, was arrested for Possession Of Contraband In Correctional Institution and Driving While Barred.

Larry Burris, Pleasant Hill, was driving near 18308 180th Lane, when he lost control and entered the ditch.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $2000.

Abigail James, Bayard, was driving in the 24000 block of Hwy 141 when she struck a deer.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $2500.  The vehicle was driving from the scene.

Dec. 18

Dennis Felt, age 79, 20175 W Ave, Dallas Center, was arrested for Domestic Abuse Assault.

Amy Frohn, age 42, 208 Locust Street, De Soto, was arrested on a warrant for Harassment – 3rd Degree.
