With Christmas coming up this week, several offices and businesses will be closed in Jefferson.

The Greene County Courthouse, Greene County Extension Office and the Jefferson Public Library will be closed Friday and next Monday in observance of the holiday. Jefferson City Hall will close at noon on Friday and remain closed through Monday. The Greene County Community Center will close at noon on Saturday and will reopen on Monday.

Library staff reminds patrons that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday. Jefferson residents are also reminded that garbage routes will be delayed by one day next week, due to the holiday.
