The Audubon and Guthrie County Public Health Departments are looking for people to take their Community Health Needs Assessment Survey.

Audubon and Guthrie County Public Health Director Jotham Arber says they are looking for 1,000 people in both counties to take these surveys that will collect data about the general health for each county and what is potentially needed. Arber tells Raccoon Valley Radio why they do this survey.

“We want to see where people feel we should be moving towards to make our county healthier. And then we’ll couple that with that data that we collect all the time, and we’ll find our priorities. And based on those things together, we’ll establish our priorities and know how to better drive health in our counties that we serve.”

He mentions that there are QR codes all over both counties for residents to scan that will take them to the survey.

Residents can also get to the survey by going to the ACPH and GCPH websites, which are linked below, or to their Facebook pages. Arber adds that after compiling all their data, and results from the survey, both health departments will get a better idea of how to plan for the next five years.
