A new business in Guthrie Center has started to flourish after opening.

Guthrie County Quality Meats is a meat processor that opened in Guthrie Center earlier this year. Owner Grant Sheeder says after a few setbacks in getting equipment parts to get everything up and running, things have been running smoothly. Sheeder notes that right now Guthrie Center Quality Meats is only doing special orders, but hopes that in the future they can sell meat from a retail area in the store.

He adds that now that things are up and running, they’re processing about 15 orders of beef every week, and that they’re booked through the start of the new year.
