The DCG basketball teams are both off to hot start with a lot to look forward and a ton of basketball remaining.

The Dallas Center-Grimes boys team is sitting in second place in the Little Hawkeye conference with a (3-1) record and also leading various statistical categories early on. As a team they sit at second for points scored at 60 per game and they are currently in first for assist per game at 18. An Individual player namely Tate Perrin is leading the conference in assists with 19.

The Dallas Center-Grimes Lady Mustangs currently is (5-1) on the young season and in first in the conference and is also is leading  in numerous team categories such as points per game (56), point difference (15), assist per game (14.8), field goals made per game (20.5), field goal percentage (43.5%), free throw percentage (73%), three point percentage (32.4%), three pointers made (7.8) and three point attempts per game (24.2).

Individually, Emma Miner leads the conference in most points scored (84), field goals made (31), field goal percentage (54.4), three pointers made (14), defensive rebounds (29) and effective field goal percentage (66%). While, Vanessa Bickford sits at first in the league for most assist.

Both teams will be back in action on Friday on the road against Oskaloosa.
