This week is another round of Caring Christmas Food Drives, with 10 scheduled.
Monday there will be three live food drive broadcasts. From 8:30am to 10:30am the Big Red Radio Van will be at Paton-Churdan Schools for a drive sponsored by the district. From 3-5pm Raccoon Valley Radio will be at the Perry Hy-Vee for a broadcast sponsored by Des Moines Area Community College, and will also be at the Jefferson Hy-Vee for a broadcast sponsored by Wahl McAtee Tire from 4-6pm.
On Tuesday, there will be a food drive broadcast sponsored by Timmons Custom Spraying at the Jefferson Fareway from 9-11am, and a broadcast sponsored by Adel Acres at the Adel Fareway from 3-5pm. Wednesday’s early broadcast will be sponsored by Community Care Center, and take place from noon to 2pm at Hometown Foods in Stuart. The second broadcast of the day will be from 3-5pm at the Perry Fareway, with Dallas County Hospital as the sponsor.
On Thursday Hometown Foods in Guthrie Center will sponsor and host the only broadcast for the day from 3-5pm. On Friday Heritage Insurance will sponsor a live food drive broadcast at Foodland in Audubon from 3-5pm, and Hometown Foods in Panora will sponsor and host a broadcast at their store from 4-6pm.
Those that donate at one of the live events can enter for a chance to win one of the three $1000 Christmas Cash Giveaways. Any donation made during a broadcast will go to the local food pantry. Monetary donations can also be made virtually, by scanning the QR code on the registration box at any Caring Christmas sponsor location, or going to raccoonvalleyradio.com.
