Greene County began the high school wrestling dual meet season on Thursday night against a pair of Raccoon River Activities Conference teams in Adel. ADM topped the Rams 54-24 and Greene Greene County went 1-1 on the night with a 33-27 victory vs. Gilbert. Coach Zach Beekman’s squad went 10-5 on the mat with nine falls, but forfeits because of open weights proved costly on the team scoreboard.

Rams going 2-0 on the night with two falls were sophomore Gavyn Winters (106), senior Kale Petersen (132), senior  McKinley Robbins (138), and sophomore Brent Dennhardt (145). Sophomore Crew Conner (126) went 1-1 with a fall, and junior Jackson Turner (152) was 1-1 with a victory by decision.
