The Perry Public Library is honoring a valuable staff member that is moving on while showing off what they have to offer tomorrow.

Library Director Mary Murphy says that they have a retirement open house for their Children’s Librarian Suzanne Kestel. Murphy tells Racoon Valley Radio the type of effect she has had on the library.

“Please come out and give her well wishes for her retirement. It’s well earned. She’s been at the library for 21 years, has made an impact on a lot of lives. It’s kind of hard to say goodbye when you have worked so long with someone. Myself, it’s been 12 years, but she has deserved her retirement.”

The retirement open house is from 4:30 until 6:30pm at the Library Community Room. This come and go event is free and open to the public.
