The Dallas Center Grimes girls wrestling squad traveled to Norwalk on Tuesday and it ended up being a successful trip.

The girls totaled a record of (20-2) with 20 falls. The tournament was step up from a scramble tournament where no team score was kept. Gracie Waage went (2-0) against her competitors from Pella and West Valley, Asia Jahangir went (2-0) against girls from Southern Tier and West Valley, Leah Newell defeated ladies from Osceola/Murray and Valley and also Josephine Bond, Maya Fritz, Mackenzie Sizemore, Sarah Henrici and Ava Gannon all went (2-0) in their matchups. Additionally Ella Forsyth and Bella Mulder went (1-0) in their lone match.

DCG girls wrestling will take a little break until they hop back on the mat in a Saydel Tournament on December 12th.
