The Adel Desoto Minburn Dance Team recently traveled to Des Moines to compete in the 2023 High School State Championships. 

The ADM Dance Team finished with third place for Class 2 Hoopla and a ninth place in the Class 6 Jazz category. The ADM team consists of 15 dancers that are made up from six juniors, four sophomores and five freshmen. Dance Coach Jana Morrissey says they haven’t received a trophy at the States Championships since 2017 so it was an excellent accomplishment.

“We like couldn’t be more grateful on the growth the team has seen since I started in 2020 but also since last year our focus was on just really improving out technique and execution and we definitely saw that across the board for the team and we’re still living on cloud nine.”

They joined 255 teams all across Iowa at the competition at Wells Fargo Arena last week.
