Tuesday night both the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Tigers basketball teams were able to pick up some strong wins against really good competition, with the girls upsetting the number 11 team in 4A Gilbert 52-41, and the boys picking up a nice conference home win 65-52.

For the girls, they are now 4-2 on the year and were able to pick up a signature victory early in the season. Nicole Storek continued her strong senior season with 21 points, and ADM was very good defensively as they were able to hold a normally good shooting team in Gilbert to only 25%. They also were able to stop a seven game losing streak in the series as well.

The boys have been able to win back to back games, and really were sharp on both ends in a solid wire-to-wire victory. ADM has continued to get solid play out of their senior class so far and junior Adam Bryte has been excellent in scoring the basketball the last three games.

ADM Basketball returns tomorrow as they make the trip to Bondurant-Farrar to take on the Bluejays in an intriguing matchup between the two teams. Tip time for the girls will be at 6 o’clock, with the boys to follow. The game can be heard on True Country K1079.
