Paton-Churdan lost a Rolling Valley Activities Conference girls’ basketball game on Tuesday night in Anita vs. CAM by a final of 71-25. The Cougars led 37-15 at the half. Coach Tom Kennedy’s team is 0-2 overall and in the conference.

P-C boys’ coach Greg Jacobs told Raccoon Valley Radio the Rockets did not have enough players to play CAM. Low on numbers to begin with, illness took the number of Rockets down to just four players. Basketball rules require five players to begin a game, although teams can finish a contest with less than five. A similar situation happened with the P-C girls a season ago.
