Friday, December 2nd
12:12am: Lori Bauer reported two suspicious persons on Harding Road. The officer did not locate anyone in the area.
8:12am: Hy Vee reported locating a threatening note left for another employee at the store at 106 West Washington Street.
9:01am: Casey’s reported a 3- or 4-year-old showed up at 508 North Elm Street. The officer returned the youngster to a parent in the area. DHS was contacted by the officer.
10:30am: Lori Tingle spoke to an officer in connection with a Civil Matter.
2:49pm: Angela Jennings reported a Stray Dog in her yard at 605 North Vine Street. The officer recognized the animal and returned it to the owner. Alicia Marie Hawkins of Jefferson was cited for, “Animal at Large Prohibited.”
3:05pm: A caller requested a Welfare Check on children at 206 S. Oak Street. The officer determined the children were fine.
11:28pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop at 220th & Mulberry Streets. During the stop, the officer could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Items were seized for testing during a Probable Cause Search of the vehicle. Charges are pending lab results.
Saturday, December 3rd
1:14am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 300 American Ave. The building was found to be secure by the officer.
4:09am: An officer located an Open Door at 307 North Wilson Ave. The officer searched the property and will contact the owner to close up the residence.
9:15am: An officer assisted with a Civil Property Issue occurring at 304 South Walnut Street.
1:23pm: An officer checked on a motorist pulled off the roadway near 220th & Elm Streets. The subject was fine and using her cell phone.
2:09pm: Lois Starr reported a large TV and an Igloo cooler had showed up at her residence overnight and do not belong to her. The officer took possession of the items in case someone reports them as missing.
4:02pm: A caller advised of a dog in a vehicle at 777 Wild Rose Drive. The officer found the animal had bedding, water, and food inside the vehicle and was fine.
5:56pm: An officer assisted with a Medical call in the 400 Block of West State Street.
6:09pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 200 Block of North Olive Street.
7:19pm: A Traffic Stop at Oak and Adams Streets resulted in Joe Edward Blackmon of Grand Junction being cited for, “Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability and Driving While Suspended.”
8:00pm: Robin Bonner requested assistance at 702 Rushview Drive with her juvenile daughter, who was acting out. The officer assisted the parents with getting the child to ER to be evaluated.
11:37pm: A Traffic Stop at Elm and 250th Street resulted in Scott Shriver of Ames being cited for, “Excessive Speed.
11:49pm: Officers were requested at 701 North Wilson Avenue for a possible Suicidal Subject. The officer spoke to the subject and he willing went with the officer to ER to be evaluated.
Sunday, December 4th
1:15am: An officer spoke with a female at 606 Hwy. 30 East. The female advised the officer she was being harassed by subjects in a black truck. She would not cooperate with the officer’s questions and eventually left with another subject.
8:12am: A Traffic Stop at Elm and 257th Streets resulted in Timothy Hose of Glidden being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
8:40am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical call in the 100 Block of Ram Drive.
9:16am: Jerry Danley reported he was threatened by a customer while working at 508 North Elm Street. The officer is attempting to identify the customer and is investigating.
10:38am: A Traffic Stop at Elm and Head Streets resulted in Luther Fox of Jefferson was cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
12:51pm: Dawn Richter reported a Scam Phone Call in which the subject advised he would shut her power off if she did not immediately pay a past due balance. Richter ended the call, as she knew she was current on her power charges.
2:17pm: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of Ram Drive.
Monday, December 5th
5:59am: Officers investigated an accident at Elm and 220th Streets. A 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix, owned and operated by Preston Pierce of Farnhamville, was southbound on N Ave. Pierce failed to stop at the posted stop sign at 220th Street and struck a vehicle in the intersection. The 2019 Ford F250 was owned and operated by Edgar Avitia of TX. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were a total loss. Avitia was cited for, “Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.” Pierce was cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign and Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”
8:37am: Duane Forkner reported Harassing and Threatening calls from a known male subject. The officer later located the subject and advised them to end the unwanted contact.
4:25pm: A caller advised of Suspicious males going from door to door on Rushview Drive. The officer later located the vehicle and determined it was a group of construction workers attempting to get jobs for roofing and windows.
6:33pm: Zach Bonner requested assistance at 702 Rushview Drive with an out-of-control juvenile. The juvenile was taken to ER for evaluation.
