The Dallas Center Grimes basketball teams are coming of road victories over Adel Desoto Minburn and look to carry that momentum when they play a Little Hawkeye conference opponent tonight.

DCG Lady Mustangs will tip off first against Grinnell at 6:15pm in the Dallas Center Grimes Meadows Gymnasium. The (2-1) Lady Mustangs previously defeated ADM by a score of 54 to 30 with Aubrey Johansen leading the Mustangs and having her best performance on paper with 17 points. Grinnel is also coming off a win over South Tama 74 to 16 and their record sits at (1-2) on the season. The Grinnel Tigers were a tough opponent for the Mustangs last year beating them on their home floor 54 to 53. DCG Girls Basketball Coach Adam Jones knows their in for difficult matchup.

“Theyre always a great in our conference we’ve had a lot of battles through the years and I’d expect nothing different on Friday.”

The DCG boys basketball team will have to collect themselves after a win on a buzzer beater from Hudson Ehlert at the end of regulation on Tuesday because they will face a Grinnell team that got a comfortable victory South Tama 62 to 33. The Mustangs will need guard the three point arch as the Tigers shot 47 percent on 18 attempts in their first game while also getting the ball to Hudson Ehlert and Calix Cahill. The game will tip off following the girls game at approx. 7:45pm.
